🌍 What is Matter?
Matter is anything that has mass and occupies space. Everything around us is made of matter - the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat.
Key Properties of Matter:
- Has mass (weight)
- Occupies space (volume)
- Made up of tiny particles
- Particles are in constant motion
- Can exist in different states

🧊 Solids
- • Fixed shape and volume
- • Particles closely packed
- • Particles vibrate in place
- • Examples: Ice, wood, metal
💧 Liquids
- • Fixed volume, no fixed shape
- • Particles loosely packed
- • Particles can move around
- • Examples: Water, oil, milk
💨 Gases
- • No fixed shape or volume
- • Particles far apart
- • Particles move freely
- • Examples: Air, oxygen, steam
